Location QR Code Generator
A location QR code opens the scanner's maps app pointed at an exact spot — no address to misspell, no “turn left at the gas station” directions to relay. One scan and they're routed straight there.
Useful for venues, pop-up shops, trailheads, or any spot that's easier to pin than to describe. Paste a link from Google Maps (Share → Copy link), or enter latitude and longitude with an optional label — use whichever you have to hand.

How to make a location QR code
- Choose Latitude / Longitude or Map link at the top of the form.
- For a map link, paste a link from Google Maps (Share, then Copy link). For coordinates, enter the latitude and longitude and an optional label.
- Style the code, pick a size and download it.
Tips for a location QR code that scans reliably
- A map link is usually the most predictable choice, because every phone knows how to open a Google Maps link.
- Use decimal degrees for coordinates, such as 40.6892 and -74.0445. South and west are negative numbers.
- Open the link or coordinates in a map yourself first to confirm the pin lands exactly where you expect.
- Add a short line beside the code, such as "Scan for directions", so people know what it does.
Location QR code: frequently asked questions
How do I find coordinates?
In Google Maps, right-click a spot on a computer, or press and hold on a phone, and the latitude and longitude appear so you can copy them.
Should I use a map link or coordinates?
Either works. A map link is the simplest and opens in whichever maps app the person prefers. Coordinates use the geo: format, which most map apps understand.
Does the code give directions?
It opens the map at the location you chose. The person then taps to get directions from wherever they are.
