How to make an event QR code

Tips for an event QR code that scans reliably
- The date and time are saved without a time zone, so the event appears at that clock time on the scanner's own calendar. For events with remote guests, put the time zone in the title or description.
- Keep the description short. Long text makes the code denser and harder to scan.
- Put the location in its own field so it appears in the calendar entry.
- Scan the finished code and check the event imports with the right date on both iPhone and Android.

Which calendars can import the event?
Phone calendar apps such as iPhone Calendar and Google Calendar on Android can import a scanned event. Desktop calendars can also open it from a phone.
Can I add reminders or invite guests?
No. Event codes carry the title, start and end times, location and description. Reminders and guest lists are not included.
Can I make a repeating event?
Not with this generator. Each code creates a single event.
